About the Author

Julian Dawson is a musician, song writer, singer and producer whose albums have featured Richard Thompson, Vince Gill, Lucinda Williams, The Roches, Dan Penn and...Nicky Hopkins. He has written songs with many of these artists as well as with Rosie Flores, Jules Shear, Willie Nile, Clive Gregson and Dennis Locorriere (Dr. Hook).

He has released more than 20 CDs, most of them appearing on major labels, as well as four with Iain Matthews & Plainsong. In addition to his own work, he has guested with artists fromDel Amitri and Glenn Tilbrook to Gerry Rafferty, The Roches and Benny Hill. His first production job was for country legend Charlie Louvin's nineties comeback album 'The Longest Train'.

What spare time he has from touring and recording is spent with his family, collecting vinyl rarities, listening to music, walking, writing and enjoying life in Somerset.
